About the Role:
Job Summary
The Cardiac Rehab Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the care management of all Cardiac Rehab phases including but not limited to ITP development, outcomes management, referral coordination, and scheduling. Also responsible for regulatory compliance, AACVPR certification, and reporting of patient progression and outcomes.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology required.
Minimum Experience: Two years in Cardiopulmonary Rehab (Phase II and III), including testing experience, exercise prescription and conducting exercise therapy sessions.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Meets individual and departmental goals and objectives for the year.
Maintains AACVPR data collection/outcomes and completes Annual Report as well as Program Certification.
Meets AACVPR standards and department metrics in addition to Tiered Goals established annually.
Assures the quality of work of the employees within the Cardiac Rehab Department.
Addresses annual performance reviews with staff within their department.
Maintains department schedule, time and attendance, and payroll. Adjusts staffing as dictated by census/volume.
Orients new staff members according to written orientation plan.
Plans meaningful learning experiences for staff members per AACVPR Core Competency expectations.
Maintains staff adherence to established department policies, procedures, and processes.
Escalates performance concerns to Cardiac Rehab Manager.
Responsible for the cost effectiveness of Cardiopulmonary Rehab to achieve optimal financial viability.
Assists in the preparation of the annual Cardiopulmonary Rehab operating and capital budget in accordance with NGHS procedures.
Maintain billing integrity through charge reconciliation and compliance report maintenance.
Operates within defined budget, while achieving productivity targets and revenue goals.
Ensures Cardiac Rehab is in compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures, DNV requirements, and AACVPR guidelines.
Adheres to written policies and procedures. Ensures implementation and compliance of departmental and organizational policies and procedures by all appropriate staff.
Reviews DNV requirements annually and ensures compliance both in the department as well as with staff.
Maintains professional growth and knowledge of new laws and guidelines impacting Cardiac Rehab programs through professional membership in state/national organization(s).
Responsible for the quality of customer care/service provided by the Cardiac Rehab Staff.
Periodically discusses and reviews billing operations, clinical and exercise operations, documentation and follow-up with staff providing suggestions for modification as necessary.
Is an engaged, hands-on member of the Cardiac Rehab department and performs all necessary duties and responsibilities of Cardiac Rehab Staff.
Assists in the assessing of appropriateness of referrals, as well as program eligibility. Maintains Workqueue in Epic.
Maintains AACVPR and CMS compliance.
Plans and/or oversees all activities of students/interns with designated staff and evaluates as needed.
