Advanced Practice Provider

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center is currently recruiting for a Urogynecology Advanced Practice Provider to join their team. This role participate in inpatient and ED consults and will perform in office procedures including but not limited to: emb, straight catheterization, bladder scanning, pessary fittings, vulvar biopsies, PTNS, SNS programming, bladder instillation. The Urogyn APP will maintain overnight and weekend call coverage with MD back up (split equitably with other division members) and enroll patients into research studies, work with residents and medical students, review charts for preop conference, work at various offsites to cover new locations or if provider anchored is out of town, adopt new procedures or techniques as urogyn practice evolves, work with urogyn nurse and provide higher level care as requested by RN, cover inbox of attendings when they are out of town (split equitably with other division members).

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or acute-care certified advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush University Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
