The role you’ll contribute:
Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specific guidelines of the facilities parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. The technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of the facility. Responsible for understanding and maintaining safety for patients and staff in all designated zones. Responsible for primary modality and a minimum of one additional modality.

• Proficiency in performing technical imaging procedures, on all age groups regardless of age, race or sex, while providing efficient and courteous care. • Reports and resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner. • Works with radiology staff and other departments, (ED, OR, Main Department etc.) to facilitate coordinated patient care. • Efficient utilization of supplies and resources including recognizing and reporting of equipment malfunction of equipment to prevent costly repair. • Complies with governing body standards and directives. • Follow patient identification / verification process prior to performing exam or procedure. • Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development. • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages, scanners and workstations, and EMR • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. • Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. • Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, shielding and distance to keep exposure levels as low as reasonably achievable for patients and staff. • Ability to complete exams in an acceptable time frame to meet ED/Observation TAT goals. • Ability to assess, start and confirm appropriate placement of IV’s for use in contrast studies. • The ability to assess, explain and perform imaging studies on patients of all ages. • Ability to learn and complete Reconstructions/Post processing • Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Past Reconstruction/Post processing skills • Ability to learn and complete Cardiac MRI reconstructions
Licensure Required:
REQUIRED: • ARRT ( R )(MR) AND One additional registry • BLS certification
PREFERRED: • ARRT (BD) • Current State X-ray technologist license if applicable • ARRT (NM) • ARRT (CT) • ARRT (US) OR (ARDMS)
PREFERRED: • Three years technical experience • One year of X-Ray experience • One year of MR experience
