Responsibilities and Duties:
Examine patients who have hearing, balance, or ear related problems.
Perform comprehensive hearing evaluations, OAE's, and immittance testing.
Vestibular / balance testing (VNG, Posturography, ECog, and Vemp).
ABR Testing (unsedated)
Tinnitus Evaluations and Management
Central Auditory Processing Tests
Custom Hearing Protection
Hearing Aid consultations, dispensing / fittings, orientation, adjustments, and repairs.
Counsel patients on hearing evaluations
Report writing and documentation through EMR system
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.)
Ability to obtain and retain New York State Licenses (Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispenser)
Work closely with other Audiologists, Hearing Aid Technicians, and Physical Therapists.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong multi-tasking skills
Adaptability and flexibility with changes in workload
About East Coast Audiology and Physical Therapy, PLLC
East Coast Audiology and Physical Therapy is a growing medical facility that combines the two specialties of Audiology and Physical Therapy in one setting. We currently have 3 locations in New York State and our newest location in Surprise AZ. We provide comprehensive hearing services to people of all ages, from newborns, children, teens, and adults. We also provide Vestibular testing (VNG only in Arizona and VNG, Posturography, ECoG, and Vemp in NY), ABR testing (non-sedated - NY only at this time), Central Auditory Processing Tests, and hearing aid dispensing. Our goal is to improve communication and hearing by providing diagnostic hearing evaluations and treatment services to our patients.
Our Doctors of Audiology work closely with our Physical Therapy Doctors to create a team centered approach helping to diagnose and treat patients with Balance and Vestibular Disorders.
NYSSOS serves the interests of New York orthopaedists and their patients by helping to create an optimal practice environment in which to provide quality and efficacious orthopaedic care.
