39 bed Progressive Care Unit split into two: one side specializing in the care and treatment of patients diagnosed with COVID-19, the other side specializing in the care and treatment of our patients requiring short term Supportive Care in the acute care setting.
On the COVID-19 side, each patient presents with a diagnosis of COVID-19 however, they also bring their own unique underlying conditions that we provide treatment for as well: heart, lung, kidney, and liver transplants, bone marrow transplants, obstetrics, orthopedics, psychiatric, and neurologic patients just to name a few. We provide a myriad of COVID-19 medications while at the same time utilizing various oxygen delivery devices making this unit the perfect place to learn each unique body system along with the most up to date COVID-19 treatments.
On the Supportive Care side, we provide compassionate care to a patient population that suffers from chronic conditions such as CHF, COPD, kidney failure and cancer just to name a few.
We are a specialized, high functioning, highly motivated team that is as unique as the patient populations we serve. Since the beginning of this pandemic, our Nurses and Providers have worked diligently to form a unique partnership that continues to provide exceptional patient care, a one-of-a-kind learning environment, and a truly amazing team!
