The role you’ll contribute:
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Want to be a part of an exciting team! Learn-Do-Teach on the Multisystem PCU. This 20-bed multisystem PCU has a diverse patient population with a 4:1 nurse patient ratio and the potential for growth.
Nursing on our unit consist of the care of various patient populations from cystic fibrosis, neurology and complex diabetic patients requiring IV drips (Glucommander).
MSPCU has been deemed the stroke unit as we have acquired DNV certification. As a unit we pride ourselves in providing high standard of care, collaboration and great teamwork among our nurses, physicians and other interdisciplinary departments. We encourage our nurses to grow professionally by providing educational opportunities, resources. Many of our nurses are national certified and/or stroke certified while others have grown into leadership roles.
We pride ourselves through the continued support given to our staff by our interdisciplinary team. Our team consists of nurses, physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, care managers, social workers, dieticians, physical and occupational therapy, and spiritual care services. All who work together to create an environment where comprehensive whole body health care is provided to all patients and families. As a nurse you will be an active member of this amazing multifaceted team.

Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute

What Will You Need
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of a school of nursing
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced life support certification (ACLS)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred:
Professional certification
ACLS, PALS, NRP (based on patient population; See document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
