Work Hours/Shift: Monday, Tuesday & Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
You Will Be Responsible For:
Determines Occupational Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Occupational Therapist practice.
Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills, activities of daily living skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient’s needs. Monitors patient’s response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.
Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.
Does discharge planning and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of equipment and follow up services.

What You Will Need:
Demonstration of at least entry level professional competency of Occupational Therapy practice, theory, principles and applications as defined in competencies departmental policy.
Licensed in the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Basic computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows
Previous experience or clinical rotations treating Neuro patients in an Outpatient Setting preferred
The Occupational Therapist – Outpatient professional provides direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med & Rehab Department. Accepts the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
