Job Summary for Clinical Educator Perioperative

This position coordinates orientation and education programs for nursing staff in coordination with clinical staff, position influences quality patient care, promotes interdepartmental teamwork, enhances staff development, and participates in retention and recruitment activities. This position operationalizes adult learning theory in evaluating educational needs of the nursing staff, developing and teaching educational programs and in-services, position maintains effective relationships with staff, peers, preceptors and nursing directors to effectively promote staff education. This position will preside over all campuses, housed at our Scottsdale Campus.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Excellent communication skills and significant experience in developing, teaching and coordinating educational programs for adult learners. This position also requires strong organization, communication, and group interaction and presentation skills. The ability to take the initiative, to problem solve and to improve processes required.

Demonstrates professional attributes: self-knowledge of personal strengths and weaknesses; customer service excellence; role mode for professional development of peers, colleagues and others; flexible in accommodating needs to customers. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Abrazo service excellence standards. Required: 2+ years as an Educator in an acute care setting.

Required Certifications/licensure:

Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona.

BSN Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School.

Preferred. MSN
